An accomplished commercial civil litigator who has appeared as counsel of record in briefing to the Supreme Court of the United States, Eric has pursued a lifelong interest in Arkansas law and community life.  Eric is a former partner with the Arkadelphia firm Wright, Berry, Hughes & Moore, where he worked for fifteen years. He founded the Hughes & Hughes Law Firm in 2009 in Arkadelphia to further personalize his counsel to clients across Arkansas.

His counsel to the Arkansas business community includes insurance defense, utility company development and litigation, and water association legal counsel. In his Arkadelphia-based community practice, he offers a local perspective in his advice and representation to individuals and companies in the region.

One of his most notable cases includes a fire subrogation matter involving 70 separate cases in federal court in nine states, in which he was co-lead plantiffs' counsel and counsel of record in a briefing to the Supreme Court of the United States.

Eric has practiced in state and federal courts in Arkansas, Texas, Missouri, and Mississippi, in addition to litigating matters before administrative agencies and commissions. He has appeared for oral argument in the Arkansas Court of Appeals, the Arkansas Supreme Court, and the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals. His admissions to practice law include Arkansas, the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Arkansas, United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
